Political Discussion & Forum Participants Needed
As a reader of our content you know that, although we are not a ‘news’ agency, we bring to you information that you can use. You are also aware that in an effort to reduce the number of ‘under-informed’ voters, we conduct a series of political forums, free of charge and open to the public, each election cycle, inclusive of local, state and regional candidates, and the first of these upcoming sessions is being planned at this time. With the current controversy surrounding the 2016 national political scene, we have observed that the ‘news’ typically has an agenda and could be more accurately considered ‘entertainment’. ‘Fair and balanced’ reporting is hard to find, as the established political machine, on both sides of the aisle, are seeing their future potentially jeopardized by one or more ‘outsiders’.
Several recent reports from political consulting firms say that over 80% of the American people, of ALL political affiliations across the board, believe an elite group of political incumbents, plus big business, big media, big banks, big unions and big special interests- the whole Washington political class- have rigged the system for the wealthy and connected. More than half of the American people believe something has changed- that our democracy is not like it used to be and that they no longer have a voice.
So that you, as our reader, can be better informed about what your neighbors are saying, and in an effort to truly and unabashedly discuss this highly charged political atmosphere, we are filming several round table discussions about just that- national politics- and the truly interesting aspects of the upcoming elections. Everyone has opinions and an agenda, and we would be disingenuous to say that we do not, but in this case we will limit ourselves to simply moderating this forum.
If you like to discuss politics and current events, and you are interested in the current political situation and anomalies, this is an opportunity for you. From Donald, Jeb and Ted, to Hillary and Barack, to Megyn and Jorge, the potential topics are numerous, no subject is disallowed, and political correctness will not be a necessity for participation. If you are as tired of the PC Police as we are, this might be cathartic and help lower your diastolic pressure in the process. Our effort will be to group participants with differing opinions, in order to explore these issues from all sides- Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian- whatever your political bent.
Taping sessions have already started, and participation is, as anticipated, strong and vocal. Participants are chosen on a first-come, first-served basis and have to agree to allow their comments to be broadcast. We will not use sound bites and instead attempt to air long-format discussions, so if you have an opinion, that opinion will be heard in entirety. If you are interested in participating, simply leave us a message (private message is preferred) here on Facebook, or at info@RealFloridaMagazine.org, indicating your availability (for best results, give us a couple of options so that we can best schedule your participation) and we will include as many participants as possible within our time frame.
